Systems Specialist
This is an excellent opportunity to join SUEZ in a pivotal operational systems role, supporting the planning, development, and continuous improvement of applications that underpin our water and waste management services.Location: Maidenhead (hybrid – onsite 3 days per week, 2 days WFH)
Salary: £42,707 per annum
Benefits: 10 % annual bonus, 3x Life assurance policy, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role:
As a Systems Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing business-critical applications across SUEZ. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you’ll help deliver efficient, reliable, and scalable systems that support operational excellence and environmental responsibility.What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the planning, design, development, and enhancement of new and existing applications
- Working closely with the Business Systems Manager, Technology Business Partners, and end users to define requirements, systems goals, and resolve critical system issues
- Supporting system simplification, reuse, and continuous improvement initiatives across the wider technology team
- Leading technical support during the deployment of new applications and system enhancements
- Researching hardware and software solutions to support recommendations and purchasing decisions
- Conducting research into software products and services to maximise technology use and advancement
- Providing training to end users and fellow systems specialists, including contributing to the design and delivery of application training programmes
- Leading and supporting system testing, fixes, and end-user reviews to support successful deployments
- Completing post-resolution follow-ups to ensure issues are fully resolved
- Providing second-line application and software support for issues not resolved by the service desk
What we’re looking for
- Degree or higher education in Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience working with core software systems across multiple business areas (advantageous)
- Experience with industry-standard IT processes and methodologies such as ITIL, PRINCE, SSADM, or DSDM (desirable)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement
