As a Site Supervisor at SUEZ in Aberdeen, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established recycling and recovery company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

What will I be doing?

  • To take full responsibility of the site in terms of management of the resources, staff and ensuring the smooth running of recycling operations.
  • To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced on site in line with the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures.
  • Manage, develop and motivate team.
  • Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance.
  • To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.
  • To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to on site using the resources within the company in line with the Health & Safety Policy
  • Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.
  • To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the team.
  • To play an active role in the continuous improvement plan for the site and to help achieve plans for future growth.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

What are the requirements? (Experience and qualifications)

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for recycling coupled with strong communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will be able to bring their experience of supervising and developing engaged teams to meet very high operational standards to the role.
  • NEBOSH or a similar Health and Safety Qualification is preferable or the ability to achieve this within 12 months. 
  • A broad knowledge of plant equipment is desirable, but not essential, as training is provided.
