As a Logistics Operations Manager at SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established recycling and recovery company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About The Role

  • Salary up to £42,109 Plus car /allowance, plus annual 10% bonus and Suez benefits
  • Mileage is paid for commutes to other depots. (not to your place of work)
  • Monday – Friday
  • Working Times: 08.00 -17.00
  • 40 hour per week
  • One hour unpaid lunch
  • Will be an occasional need to be contacted out of hours 

 

This is a multi million pound depot that is responsible for running a fleet of 17 vehicles

Our operating area spans from the heart of West London, across all surrounding areas including Buckinghamshire, Central London, Middlesex & Surrey. 

Assisting with management of a team in excess of 30 staff both manual and office based

This role is customer focused ensuring that a high level of customer service and customer satisfaction is maintained. 

The day to day tasks will need to be ran in a professional manner ensuring that compliance and safety is at the forefront of everything we do. 

 

 

 

About the role

What will I be doing as an Assistant Logistics Manager?

You’ll make sure your site operates like clockwork, meeting agreed client service levels and delivering our regional strategy. It’s all about performance.

You’ll create the kind of ‘right first time’ culture that encourages staff to give their very best while working with our team to provide the best operational solutions.

You'll ensure that the compliance of both the fleet of vehicles and the drivers is kept to a high standard, managing service schedules and tachographs (EU rules). 

You'll assist in managing the profitability of the mobile compaction routes and other systems by reviewing efficiency & effectiveness.

With responsibility for reviewing our offering and putting customer retention, growth and conversion strategies into action, you’ll be a key part of the wider SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK team.

What are the requirements? (experience and qualifications)

No experience in the waste industry? That’s not a problem – as long as you’re a highly motivated Supervisor who knows how to serve up outstanding customer service.

To really excel, you’ll need to have worked in an operational role within a high volume/low margin business model, where continuous improvement is key.

It is desirable for you to obtain IOSH (or equivalent) and full CPC National Road Haulage qualifications as well as a Certificate of Technical Competence in Management (Level 4). Plus a good understanding of the demands of a multi-drop business. Combine all this with the ability to develop and grow new business, and you could be well on your way to becoming part of our team.
